Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah has broken the club’s Champions League record with a brace against Roma in Tuesday’s Champions League first leg semi-final clash at Anfield.

The Egyptian international gave the Reds a deserved lead after 35 minutes when he curled in an exquisite effort into the far corner.

The goal means the 25-year-old is now the first Liverpool player to score nine goals in a single Champions League campaign.

Ten minutes later, Salah scored his tenth of the campaign when he raced in on goal and chipped the ball over the onrushing Alisson to put Jurgen Klopps’s side in full command of the tie.

The forward has also found the net in his last five Champions League starts, a run that only ex-Reds legend, Steven Gerrard has ever previously managed for the Anfield club.

Meanwhile, the match eventually ended 5-2 in favour of the home side
